About Me

About Me

I’m Breana Grayson — a writer, making space for others to feel seen, understood, and less alone, particularly through lived experience as a Black woman with bipolar disorder.

My passion is rooted in using language—both spoken and written—to create connection, clarity, and change. I share personal narratives through essays, media features, public talks, and podcast appearances. These stories explore the nuance of living with bipolar disorder. But this work is about more than just my experience. It’s about making space for others to feel seen, understood, and less alone.

I’ve been featured in outlets like The Healthy: From Reader’s Digest, spoken on SMiles TV, and joined conversations on platforms focused on healing, stigma, and resilience. Whether I’m building my memoir or working on creative collaborations, my goal remains the same. I aim to bring honesty, empathy, and visibility to experiences that are too often misunderstood or ignored.

As a writer, I offer a distinct lens on modern discourse. My work explores the intersections of art, race, femininity, and resilience with both precision and heart. Through editorial features and public conversations, I engage diverse audiences while staying true to my vision. In a world full of noise, I write with purpose. My words make space—for vulnerability, for complexity, and for truth.
