About Breana

I’m Breana Grayson—a writer, advocate, and creative grounded in truth-telling. My journey with bipolar disorder isn’t just part of my story—it’s shaped the way I move through the world, how I write, and what I choose to speak up about.

I’ve been the A student who couldn’t get out of bed. The high achiever who quit three credits short. The technical writer who lost confidence in her own voice—and slowly found it again.

You might’ve seen me in The Healthy: From Reader’s Digest, heard me on SMiles TV or on a podcast speaking about what it means to be Black and bipolar in spaces that weren’t built with us in mind. I’m not here to sugarcoat anything—but I do believe in healing, in humor, and in finding your way back to yourself.

Whether I’m building out my memoir, sharing my experience in media, or helping others feel less alone—I’m here to tell the truth, with a little glitter on top.
